Swaybars?
I swear this my last suspension question thread 
.
Does anyone have any expeirence with swaybars? Is it worth the $300 for a front and rear sway bar? How difficult is the install? I'm considering these: Front Swaybar & Rear Swaybar

If it isn't a larger diameter than stock, you won't notice any diffference in cornering. You can replace the rubber bushings on yours with polyurethane and will get a little improvement for not too much $$.

Did the 2wd have a rear sway bar? Don't think so, nothing had a rear one until later model 4Runners got a rear bar.
I'm pretty sure you should have a front one though. Looks similar to this:

i odtn know the diamtere, but my 85 did indeed have a front swaybar, no rear though... i took mine off when i lifted my truck, i really didnt notice any difference with it off

Says 1" for the 2wd Yota on the replacement bushing sites.
Yotatruck 1986 - a cheap mod that will help a lot - get some eurethane bushings for that sway bar. It'll tighten up that handling and with those shocks you'll have a handling demon.
Then, when money permits, get some aluminum rims (those look like steelies in the pic) - less unsprung weight on a 2wd helps too!

Correction:
It shows that the 79-88 2wd pickup came with either 18mm or 25mm front bar.
Ya gotta measure. 18mm is roughly 3/4" and 25mm is pretty close to 1".

Shop around though, I think you can beat that price.
Also note that one brand has graphite impregnated bushings (they are black) which won't squeak over time. Might be worth it.

yup looks like it... if the swaybar is 1" think, then you want the 25mm bushings... as 25 mm is about as close as you can get to 1" standard
One more thing, do you think a rear sway bar is worth the $150? Should it noticeably reduce body roll? Thanks again.
