Suspension Suggestions

I currently have an OME 881/ 906 setup I have OME Shocks also. The suggestions I need are with my rear suspension. I have a motorcycle carrier that I haul my CRF250 with. The bike weighs about 220lbs the carrier weighs about 40lbs and the gas can and stand weigh about 40lbs. So that is about 300lbs on my hitch. I have used this setup all summer with no problems but the 906 coils squat pretty bad. Should I go with the 890 or 891 coils and if I do should I get extended brake lines and a panhard bar drop? I am not looking for a big rake or harsh ride when I am unloaded since this is my daily driver and it gets about 375 miles a week on it. I know my other option would some air bag coil helpers but I would like to stay away from those if possible. Here are some pictures of my setup.

To me, it seems like the airbags would be the best option for you. They're fairly cheap and easy to install. I'd go that route.

Air Springs are great. Air them up when needed, down when not. I had them, they carried the weight great. I hated them when offroading. (long story, I'll tell you if you need). I have TRDs in front (~1.75" of lift, what did you get with the 881?) I also used to have 890 in back (~2.5" of lift). They rode great , carried weight well. I wanted a little more lift and more capacity so I have gone to 891 (~3" of lift. There is very little difference in the ride between the 890 and the 891. The 891 do handle weight better. I like the 890 offroad better than the 891.

I have a little demo on my link, check it out. (I had the 890s on for the demo)

They all have compromises.

There are also some good adjustable air shocks available. I'd go with Monroe Air Max - HERE is a discussion on them. The good thing about the 906 rear springs is they have a higher spring rate but don't give you tons of lift. All you need is a little extra support that is adjustable. If you get those, I'll gladly buy your rear OME's

Thanks for the input guys. I would like to keep things simple that is why I really want to stay away from the air bags that is just one more thing to fail at at a bad time. New coils are going to be the most reliable.

From looking at my pictures the rear could come up a some to match the front a little better. I got about 3" of lift in the front with the 881 coils.

Gerdo,
I have seen your demo that is a great reference. Did you do the panhard bar and brake lines with the 890 and 891 coils? How much more lift did you get going from the 890 to the 891? Would the 891 match the 881 in the front? How is the ride?

Thanks

lobody94 from what I've researched If you install the 890's you'll need a spacer up front with the 881 to level it out a bit. here is how toytec has it paired

http://toyteclifts.com/index.php?pag...mart&Itemid=53

Let me know what you end up doing cause I think I might move up to the 890's and sell my 906's. I'll also be purchasing the toytec top plate spacer while I'm at it. I've called gerone at trdparts4u and he has it all in stock so maybe he can cut us a break if we order together.
