supercharger surging boost going to 8psi
Hi all,
I have searched the boards trying to find an answer but nothing definitive so far.
Here is my issue. I have a 96 4 runner with the 1st gen supercharger on it. The supercharger has 80,000km on it. The only other mod I have done is the kenne bell Booste a pump to try and help out the lean problem during high rpm wide open throttle runs. The truck has run well. My wife now drives it so I'm not sure how long the above symptoms have been around.
I drove the truck the other day and it seems as if there is less power than normal. I changed the plugs last night (need to pull the ecu fuse to reset it) and took it for a quick spin. The problem still exists (surging/bogging) and I noticed at wide open throttle my booste gage registered 8psi. I know this is higher than the normal 6psi. I've also had the truck run on after turning it off once or twice (very infrequently)
Is there anything else obvious I should look at or replace or is my next step to take the vehicle to a place who can run some sort of code analysis?
I am not looking to throw more money into the truck since we plan to sell it in a year so please keep that in mind.
Thanks for any suggestions....
