i would guess it would be in one of the two main boxes (behind battery or driver's side underdash). You can also manually close it by turning the screw under the plastic flap by the switches.
Good Luck, hope this helps

After checking ALL my fuses, I went over to the local dealer. They were nice enough to look at it without a charge but could not find the problem. I set up an apointment for Tuesday.
Did you know there is no manual way to close the sunroof on a third gen !?!?

wait...
I take that back! :pat:
My '98 SR5 does have a manual screw to open/close the sunroof.
Are you sure there's not one there? guess they took it out in '99

If you look under the 'flap' by the switches (i don't know what it's for, i put money in it... looks like it could hold business cards, insurance card, etc...) on the driver's side of the panel under the flap there is a hole about the size of a nickel. The screw inside that hole manually operates the sunroof.
But this still doesn't solve his problem...
Anyone found that friggin' fuse or have any ideas for his power problem yet???

I was misinformed then.
I stand corrected.

So did anybody come up with the wiring diagram? Do we know the location of the fuse?

Yeah now I am scared cuz my sunroof always sounds like its straining -not refined like a honda--toyotas with sunroofs are rare like fords with good transmissions.

The chiltons manual is saying that it runs off of the 'POWER' (30amp) fuse in the box on the driver's side of the dash. This would mean that you wouldn't have power to anything though.
I'm wondering if it isn't the sunroof motor, or relay. The relay is up next to the motor above the headliner.
Please keep us updated, as this is possible to happen to the rest of us also.

Throw that Chilton in the trash, those things have more incorrect information than a Pep Boys on a Saturday afternoon.
The only reason i have it is because it was in the truck when i bought it!
Just thought it might help
