Stock exhaust?

How many of you have the stock exhaust. My aftermarket one has totally cratered and I am thinking of going back to stock because I am unsure if an aftermarket performance is really worth it. My OEM lasted 8 years and was still in good shape when it cam off. It would have lasted another 3 years at least. We still have the original one on our 93 camry with 225,000 miles on it. The dynamax one only lasted 5 years. Are the OEM ones really that good? or will I suffer in the mpg & performance area by going back to OEM? Any opinions?

OEM is probably better than aftermarket in some situations but if you buy OEM, it's an arm and leg. If your aftermarket lasted five years, what's wrong with that? An aftermarket muffler like yours is probably less than $100.

I know you can get an OEM for 160 istalled at the local dealer here, and it carries a lifetime warranty on parts and labor. That's hard to beat if you ask me.

The parts for OEM are only $20 more than the Dynomax stuff. 5 years out of aftermarket vs. 10 years out of OEM. So I end up paying twice for the aftermarket but I am unsure if the gain in performance / savings in mpg (if any) is worth paying for the exhaust twice.

OEM cat-back, installed at outrageous dealer labor prices and it still barely hit $200 out the door.

I'f you install yourself, you MIGHT save afew bucks by going aftermarket.
