Still having vibration issues with front diff after 2 fluid change.
OK so I made a post a few weeks ago about how I changed the fluid in my front diff in my 2000 SR5 and was getting a vibration of sorts. I have since done the following to remedy the problem with no luck;
1) Redid the fluid with higher quality fluid reccommended by Toyota and my owners manual. ( I used cheap stuff before) I did not notice anything unusual about the fluid, no shavings or anything and it was at the proper level still and still clear.
2) Removed the skid plate to see if this was the problem and it was not.
3) Looked for oil on the inside of my hubs indicating a leaking axle seal, there is none that I can see or feel.
So thats where I am at. If it matters, this vibration only is audible when I press on the gas, when coasting down the road, even at 65 MPH, I hear nothing unless I push on the pedal.
I had my rear diff bearings and seals redone about 5000 miles ago, and I am thinking/dreading that this is now the same with the front diff but I don't know.
Any thoughts? All help is appreciated.

Bummer.... I work with guys who spend a lot of time with American Axle, DANA etc so I will see if I can get some pointers.
Sorry it was not as simple as the skid plate... my bad :slap:

Hey, no worries on the suggestions, anything is welcome at this point. I am holding off in hopes of solving the problem myself before taking it to a mechanic, but I don't want to just keep driving till something serious goes wrong.
I appreciate in and all suggestions I can try. ANyone else have any feedback?
