Look in our Tech section here at YotaTech, there is a write-up in there on the OME one.
The OME is the best one out there, and requires no mods to your stock bracketry.
I have the Rancho one, and you must use new brackets.
I wish I knew about the OME one when I did mine.

I installed an OME earlier today. Got it for around $50 from Mike at Xtremeoffroad. My stock one was in surprisingly good condition when I took it off but still weaker than the OME. I'll pound some good potholes in the next few days and let you know what I think. If you get one don't bother removing your stock mount - just reuse the mounts.

I am also REALLY thinking about adding one to my yota and have one question.
If you warp a front brake rotor, during braking with the stock steering stabilizer you will notice the steering wheel shaking - will that be present at detectable levels with something like the OME?

I would say yes. It may control some of the vibration but since the vibration is being transmitted through the front suspension and braking components there is no way to completely get rid of it without a new rotor.

The OME rocks. Wait til you see how much larger it is than stock. I was wondering how the heck it would fit - but it does. Joey did a great write up on it. I wish he and I didn't do ours the same weekend, so I could have used his write up.

I went for a drive last night over to my brother's house. There definately was less vibrations in the steering wheel and more importantly I didn't feel any big vibrations when I hit pot holes. You can contact Mike at sales@xtremeoff-road.com

Yes, the stock one is supposed to come off. You may get some interference between the stock and the Rauncho at full extension/compression. Just don't throw the bolts & nuts away. You may want to go back to a stock type mount like the OME.

I installed the rancho one a while ago and I didn't remove the stock one. It seems fine to me.
I also noticed an improvement in cross winds.
