My 1996 3rd gen Surf/ Runner has just failed it's test on the steering rack mounts , and Toyota say that it only has one rubber bush to hold it down .

Well I have had a look under the rack and it looks like one D shaped mount and a round cylinder shaped one , so does anybody have a diagram or picture of the steering rack .

Energy Suspension makes a steering rack kit for the 3rd gens. I installed these about two months ago. The kit comes with a diagram. I believe I paid $26 bucks for the kit.....

Thanks but does it come with more than one mounting rubber , thats what I need to know .

i replaced the steering rack bushings on my tacoma, a few months back. i believe there was four bushings-total.

Yeah it was either three or four bushings. I don't really remember. The install was rather easy.....
