i tossed in a used rack last night, new energy suspension bushings (which i had installed in my old rack last week, transfered them over to the new but used rack)

no problem getting the rack out, other than the frozen lines! we used heat on the fittings, finally got them loose, however the line itself was bonded to the fitting from corrosion, we removed the line at the power steering pump, and snaked it out, then still had to turn the entire line to thread it out, then put the fitting in the vise, use heat, penetrating oils, tapped some vibration into it with a hammer then got it freed up

thankfully had the skid plates off as i did my lift last week

putting it back in, we unbolted the rag joint into two halves, slid the top piece onto the column end, bolted it on, then put the rack up in place, already with the main feed line from the PS pump attached, we snaked it back through,, left it a little loose for rotation, we also had the return line off and slid it in place after the rack was nearly all the way up

pretty much every bolt was frozen, and my truck overall is super clean, thankfully had torches, and both my father and i have alot of experience with building cars.....if anyone is gonna do a rack, i would recommend picking up a new line before hand in case you twist them....or get damaged coming apart

i had soaked everything with pentrating oil a couple days before...what a nightmare! anyone has a question you can PM me or I can post follow up for more details of bolt sizes tricks etc
