i bought my '98 3.4L V6 tacoma right after the starter was replaced. now, 30K later, i'm having starting issues but i dont think they are startER issues. i'm not hearing the winding noise that a bad solenoid makes.

3 out of 4 times i start it, i have to gas it or it dies. like its not getting enough gas. could it be bad injectors? air in the gas?

I have had this happen a few times also :'\ I have'nt been able to get an answer out of anyone,so I hope thiers someone who can through this thread!!

Circuit Opening relay is one possibility. It is what controls the fuel pump and have heard of one guy who had that fix his starting problem. Kind of like on the earlier trucks where there was an easy fix:

I have a little trouble starting my '96 4runner whenever the motor is cold. I have to crank it for about 3-4 seconds for it to start. It doesn't sound long, but it really is if you think about it. Whenever the motor is warm, it starts up just fine.
