stalled...again
So today, it was raining, so I wanted to have some fun. I stopped and just got on it and it revved to ~5500 rpm (spedo said 70mph ) before i let off and i let off and the rpm needle went crashing down and the whole thing shut off. This is the 5th time it has happened and i replaced the fuel filter cuz that seemed like a simple/ effective fix. so i start it up and it starts but it wouldn't idle, i had to keep the gas on so ti was above 1100rpms. so i was able to park it in a spot and go swim at my swim meet. It sat there for a few hours. When i come back i started it and held it at 2k rpm for about 5 min see if i can get the fuel back in the lines cuz i figured that was the problem. it never was right, so i just drove on it keeping the rpm up, and after about a 1/8 everything was fine idles normally drove normally, no evidence of have problems. Im starting to guess that it might be the fuel pump? not sure. Im gonna go look at the logs and see if its been replaced in the 226k miles it has on the 3.4l.

Might want to check out this thread. Might be your problem. It seems common.
