Squeaky rear axle---Possible causes?

Guys,

This is in no way related to the Type R extended diff breather mod. This has been happening for over 2 weeks now.

Everytime I go over bumps, the rear axle (or something back there) squeaks real loud. It reminds me of an old Ford pickup truck that my uncle had.

Possible causes?

Thanks,
Bob

Have your harem jump up and down on the back bumper while you listen underneath. You should be able to pinpoint it that way. If not, stick a plastic tube in your ear and move the other end around, toward the sound. The sound will get louder when you get closer to it. Think of it as a poor mans stethoscope.
