Sport Edition availability

I noticed a lot of you guys here have a sport edition. Did you special ordered yours or bought them from the dealer lot? My dealer has lots of Ltd's and Sr5's but the SE is virtually nonexistent. I saw one Sport (4th gen) in the last two years and it was quickly snatched by the next day! So why is it that, you can get them in some regions and not in others??? Thanks.

I went through my credit union's service (Autoland.com) and the SE was easy to find. I did notice the same as you on the dealer lots - lots of Limiteds and SR5's, no SE's.

I had to take down the list of dealers within 150 miles of where I live and then just started calling to find my SE. As far as I researched, there was only one within 100 miles. I bought it.

i'll attest to the lack of availability on the SEs. when i was shopping for mine, there weren't too many SEs on the lots. and of those, hardly any black, 4wd SEs. i only found two new i think in the greater LA area.
the internet will be your friend here. try emailing at once every dealer around you and see what then can do about getting you what you want.

I had my dealer do a dealer trade to get mine. It was a pain but I got the car I wanted.

SE grab

On my sport it took a while to get what I really wanted. I got lucky in that someone ordered the sport edition just like I wanted and it turned out he didn't want it. I jumped in and grabbed it. Just keep looking and be prepared to move quick.....

Maybe they should change their model designation; SE to Limited and Limited to SE. Usually when something is more expensive, you see less of it but in this case the Limited cost more but there's more of it...yeah that make sense.
