Hmmm...i guess it's about to change sparkplugs....haha....i still have the factory spark plugs on mine with 140k miles.....maybe that's why the engine shakes soo much at idle and uses soo much gas....haha...woops...anyways....would yall recomend something like the Bosch Platinum 2 sparkplugs?

No, don't use the Bosch plugs, use OEM Densos or NGKs only.
The engine will run much better.

Your site says that the 5062's are the best for S/C engines... Are they also good for a non-S/C engine?

SparkPlugs.com has a good selection. I have had very good results with NGK plugs. From what I understand, Bosch +4's confuse the ECU and don't work well with some engines.

You can not beat the stock Toyota ones. I have never seen any evidence that anything was better then the stock wires.

OK....i just got done replacing them with NGKs....and it STILL idles rough at 300rpm....the old plugs had the tan powder stuff on them and one of them had a little more black on it....is there anything else i can look for??...i have already replaced the cap, rotor and wires....

Dude I garuntee that in gear or out of gear you should NOT be idling THAT low...

My idle in gear warmed up is 600-750rpm cold is over 1000rpm...

I was about to say that too. it should idle 600-700.

There's your problem. For a 3.0L V6 at warm idle you should be around 750-850rpm according to my Haynes manual. I suggest checking the Vehicle Emissions Control Information sticker under your hood for more accurate info. You might want to check or replace your air filter while you're at it. It might be clogged and your engine choking for air.

hmmm..ive replace the air filter like every month...and its been idling like this for quite some time now.....the engine is running VERY rich though....you can smell the gas bad when its running.....could an O2 sensor be doing this...i think it is the factory one also....what else could cause it to run really rich?? or would this not have anything to do with my idling problem...??

I hope you're joking about replacing the air filter every month. That is extreme overkill. Regarding the gas smell, I'm not sure. I'll leave this one to the mechanics. Could it be a bad injector dumping fuel into the cylinder rather then atomizing it? ????? Dunno.

Has anyone had any experience running Iridium Plugs? I just changed mine with factory plugs at 60k, I was debating on trying Iridium but didn't know enough about them.
