Spark plugs on the 4th Gen (V8)

Anyone change theirs yet? I'm not sure if these are platinum or not. I'm used to changing my plugs every 30K miles..

I changed mine when I added my sc. Still have my old ones they have 5000 miles on them. Yes they are platinum, and they cost like $10 a pop. Still have my old ones of you want them.

Why did you change them so early? Colder plugs? What is the recommended interval? Aren't the platinum's good for 100K?

I changed them to the ones TRD recommend, to improve the sc effeciency. I noticed a slight improvement so it was worth it. Not sure what the recommened interval is.

Kaneman23,
I don't think the plugs in 2003 V8 are platinum; they are iridium. According to the service manual (I just looked thru it real quickly so I could be wrong), it says to change them at 120,000 or 96 months. Heres the link if you want to check it out http://www.toyotapartsandservice.com...vice_03_57.pdf

I believe it's every 60K miles on the V8 (30K on the V6). And yes, they are iridium.
