Spacers & OME Springs?
Hey all,
Need your expertise/opinion.
1. With a 2" confed spacer lift, should I be immediately concerned with CV angles, balljoints or extensions on anything like a body lift (I.E. brake line, transmission, etc.)?
2. With 2" cornfeds up front, should I go with OME springs in the rear or 2" spacers?
3. If I go with OME springs in the rear should I get the MD or HD ones? I don't tow. I don't haul. I do offroad and I don't like a stiff ride.
4. How much lift would you normally get out of the MD OME & HD OME springs?
Thanks for any advice.
Al

This is from what I 've found. OME's are innately extermely soft -- the softest out there. HD is still an improvement over stock, and MD's are like soft coils from most other brands. Adding a 2" spacer wouldn't kill CV angles, but it will put a tiny bit more strain on them. I'd reccomend going with OME HD's in the rear (OME 891) because you don't feel the bumps as much in the rear, and then OME MD's in the front (OME881). If you go with that set-up and add 33" tires, you'll probably gain about 2.5-3 inches with only the new coils, and then 1 or 2 more with the bigger tires. I'm going to do an OME and SAW lift sometime (when the wallet is bigger...) and frommy research that's what I can tell you.

Thx for the reply man. I'd love to have SAWs & OMEs right off the bat, but I just don't have the cash for it now.
I think I've decided to go w/2" cornfeds & stock springs in the front w/OME 890s (MD) in the rear. I don't want too stiff a ride, even if it is in the rear and I think it will look more level this way. Unfortunately the spacers will stiffen up my front ride, but hopefully not too much.
I think my butt would be too high w/2" spacers up front & 891s in the rear. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here.
I saw a pic of the 891s and they look like bigger PP springs. They look like they are progressive, which should smooth out the ride, give me lift and decent flex. I've read too many posts now, by ppl who say the HDs made the ride too stiff.
Thoughts?
