spacers

2 questions. are spacers safe? more specifically, are spacers safe if i plan on offroading?

and can anyone post some pics of spacers on a 1st gen 4runner? i want an idea of what mine would look like if i decided to do that.

I had a 88 truck 4x4 with 4in body lift and it work fine for me. I didn't put them on. It came that way.

don't know exactly. the wheel spacers that make your wheels stick out farther than without them. i don't know anything about them.

Just curious, but why do you need these?

All things equal, wide wheel track is good for stability but just adding spacers won't really improve any aspect of the trucks performance.

It just gives it a wider stance and allows for better tire clearance too...and plus it looks cool!

Yea but in puts more stress on the axles and bearings, or at least that's what they tell me in my confuing engineering classes.
