So after I got my supercharger installed i tried to engage my 4wd which was working perfect before the install. And nothing happened, the light just blinks.

So i turned it off and it still just blinks.

So what did i do? Why won't it work anymore? I have the push button limited 4wd system.

The only thing i can think of that might have effected anything is when i jacked the tranny/engine up to install the headerscould i of hit a wire or something? Neither one of them ever moved more then a few inches though.

Any ideas?

well how the four wheel drive works on our year is by vaccum in the front that engages when the button is pushed...it should be a black solinoid on the front diff...look around for any loose wires too..a friend of mine disconnected the front vaccum so he could run the truck in 2L...jus some ideas

You might have unhooked vaccum lines x2

oh? they use vacume not eletrical?

Then that could very well explain some things. The vacume hose routing with the SC install was the hardest part and i would not doubt for a second that i may have missed something.

so where is this vacume line that feeds the 4wd located? i know i did see any lose hoses.

right above the rack and pinion theirs a black solinoid with a harness of about 6 wires with a vaccum line right above it..check to make sure its in good shape and not damaged...

where does the vacume line connect to? I will check that tomorrow.

if im not mistaken it goes from the back of the t-case to the front diff..

the vacume line? Where does it get vacume from then? Doesn't it need to connect to the intake at some point? I didn't mess witht he tranny or t-case, so i don't know how i would have messed it up if it is there.

It gets vacuum from the front of the intake manifold. It feeds along the front engine cover (near where you trimmed it to fit the S/C), and connects below the fuse block near to a vacuum hose that is routed down to your diff. I can't remember where I got vacuum from with the S/C on, but you can probably T off the FPR line.

I think i know which hose you are talking about and i am pretty sure i have it teed off the vacume line right now. Was it a little vacume line? or one of the bigger ones?

I will go check it in a few mins.

It's a little one. Look on the drivers side of the engine bay - on the inside of the wheel well. There are two little cylinder-shaped things under the main fuse block. There should be a little vacuum line going from your intake plenum somewhere into the top of these little cylinders.

Thats what i thought. The bad thing is that it IS connected to a vacume line.

Hmmm, i guess i need to make sure it is getting enough vacume then.

Ok, fixed it finally. And yes ya'll were right about the vacume.

After playing with it apperantly 2 thigns were happing that caused it to not work.

1: is the T i used to connect the vacume line was a little too small and would not seal quite right.

The other is that it takes a second to build up enough vacume to work, i was trying it too quick and then thinking it would not work.

So i replaced the T with the correct size and went for a drive and it now works perfect again!

I also got the URD ECU installed, 1 more step down.
