Snapped Manifold bolt - Now what? 96 3.4

I finally got dinged on an inspection for an exhaust leak that I've been conveniently ignoring. I started pulling the Y pipe off at the passenger side exhaust manifold (bad gasket) and snap - there goes one of the manifold studs along with any hope of an easy fix.

So what now? I seriously doubt I can get the roached studs out of the manifold while it is attached to the truck.

Do I pull the whole manifold? What are the chances I'll snap a stud or two on the engine block.

Should I swap for stainless hardware or new studs? Keep the OEM manifold?

I need more beer.

I can only guess it would be areal pain to try and remove a broken stud from the exhaust manifold on the truck.

You did spray it good with the penetrating oil of your choice before starting??

You could not feel it was starting to twist before it broke??

Take your time or pay to have it done.

Doesn't matter, what's done is done. Dad had a broken exhaust stud removed from his 6.0 chev LS. Mechanic removed the whole fender to be able to get to it and drill it out. It's doable. I'd take it to a mechanic at this point that has the bits, extractors, taps, etc-and that way if they break more off, they can deal with it.

You must travel in a better circle of mechanics .

I don`t really know of anyone I would trust that would not make it worse.

Dropping the vehicle off could be a little time consuming
