size of bolts for timing chain cover.

hey all, i need to replace all the bolts for my timing chain cover, i know that there are a few 10mm and a few 8mm but i was wondering what length and thread these both were so i can avoid the dealership, thanks.

i doubt that anyone will have that info for you without removing the bolts and measuring.

Man, there are about 3 diferent diameters and 7 diferent lengths! I got held up about an hour putting mine back together because the guy I was working with used the wrong one for the oil pump. Why are you reaplacing the bolts? They don't need to be reefed down hard or anything.

most are m8 and m10 i think

I have them. Give me awhile to find the lenghths. That's what I have is lengths. Busy right now but later I will post the picture.

well... to avoid spinning an awful web of lies in defense of my own mental fortitude..... i lost and or had them gaffed by the machinist. i dont remember taking them off but i might have, as i didnt recieve any back in my little box of goodies.... which also included a broken knock sensor and a broken oil pressure sender guage.

o well.

thank you for that informative diagram, way more than i was expecting.

and fadetoblack: i will get you a pic asap.
its pretty cool and easy to do if you have any questions.
btw, its only interior
