silly question

hey all,
this may be silly to some, but i want to know, those of you with the aftermarket front bumper, why is the CB antenna on the front ? im not trying to rude or anything of the sort, i just dont know, is having it on the front better than on the rear bumper ?

its easier to mount, no drilling req'd, and also easier to run the coax cable through a hole in the firewall, rather then run the wire from the back of the truck through the floorbards or ceiling liner.

I think ....

that would seem to make sense,, but do ya leave it on 24/7 ? or just put it on when wheelin ?

I have a 4' firestick, so it has to come off. I live in the city, and park inside a garage where the truck barely fits under. Sucks b/c I really wanted to put a roofrack on.
