I have the Power Mirrors and they wobble and I can hear the passenger one rattling while driving. The mount that connects the mirror to the truck is tight. However, the pivot point is loose. There are 3 phillips screws underneath the pivot which are tight, but when you move the mirror up and down the phillips screws are moving too. Does anyone know how to tighten this up without replacing it?

i hope somebody knows cause mine do the same dang thing! I got a piece of folded up paper wedged in mine to hold it still.

Simple fix.
Pop off the inside cover in the corner of the window where the mirror mounts to the door. Mine have my tweeters mounted in them. There are 2 or 3 bolts that need tightening. Pop the covers back on.

The mount connecting the mirror to the door is tight. The part that is loose is where the mirror pivots. Any clue as how to tighten this up?

Just to give you a visual. The picture is of the type of mirror I have. The rectangle is where it is loose, and the arrows indicate how to make it rattle.

I have this exact same issue with my driver's side mirror. Loose at the pivot-point.
Did anyone find a solution?

Have you tried completely removing the mirror and disassembling it to try and locate where the play is?

My 3rd gen had this issue and it ended up just being that the three bolts/screws on the bottom felt tight, but were actually not. I removed them (which was a royal PITA given the years of water/weather they had seen) and got six new ones from the dealership, shot some WD-40 in before I replaced them and they were both solid again.
