Shocking Question??
Anyone ever had any problems with returning their Rancho shocks w/ lifetime warrenty? I wanted to replace my 5yr old RS5000's because they just don't feel the same anymore. Anyway the place that I bought them from made me purchase new shocks while they sent my old ones back to Rancho. Rancho then came back and said there was nothing wrong with them, and will not credit the store. I can't belive there is nothing wrong with them after 5 yrs. of use and abuse (carrying way to much loads im the winter. They just don't feel like they used to. What is the point of having a warrenty if I say they are bad and they say other wise? Now I am stuck with paying for shocks twice. If I new that was going to happen I would have bought something different (like Bilsteins).
Sorry just ranting!!

Good companies - KYB, Koni, Bilstein, even NAPA will usually cross ship shocks if you give them a credit card number. They won't charge you if you return the defective ones within 30 days.
A lot of places will only replace them if they are leaking from the shaft seal tho...

Yeah, does the lifetime warranty specifically state that it covers the shock wearing down? I highly doubt they threw it on a vehicle or put it under load. I bet some dude just looked at it and said, "this thing aint leakin! Send it back!"
