Well both my vehicles have/had Monroe Sensa-trac shocks all around. I put the Sensa-tracs on my '93 when the OEM ones started getting bad at about 135K (this past summer) miles mainly because they are only $50 a piece. They are decent for road use. My '88 4runner I bought in Dec had the same shocks on already, new in the summer.
Maybe get the OEM ones if you can, I don't know how much they will cost though. Search around here, there are tons of info about different shocks for different applications.
