hey guys and gals!
i finally got my oem shocks, got them from TOR hes a great guy to deal with! anyway, I was wondering if anybody knew the torque specs to the bolts that hold the shocks. i need the front and the rear. Anybody know how to get the the top rear shocks bolts out? its looks kinda of hidden. any tips from people who have done it themselves? THANKS

i dont think it should be too much... i think the torque on the stuff for my 85 4x2 pu is like 70 ft# or something around there... probably just tight enough as its got a bushing and stuff so it should back itself out

people who has bought stock shocks can prolly help me out. Are the rear shocks lower bushing included with the shocks? I have the top 2 bushings but not the lower ones.....maybe TOR can chime in if he see this....

I just finished installing shocks on my 92 2wd pick and found out the hard way that the torque spec is not any thing big. I mistaken the strut bars torque specs for my shocks (65). Striped the heck out of the bolt . After rereading the hanyes manual it just says secure tightly. Besides this part the job went smootly. People have have said how easy it is to replace shock and now i know it is a cake walk.
