shaking lights on bullbar

I have a bullbar. There are these tabs with foam underneath to mount lights on. When I am on a bumpy road the lights shake so bad the look like strobe lights and I am sure is very distracting to oncoming drivers. I just switch them off. Any ideas on stablizing them?

increase the amount of rubber? I'm not sure there is anything else to do about it.

which bull bar do you have? is it an ebay one? westin? I know the cheaper ebay bull bars are just not as stable as the westin bar. No matter what you do to the lights, the bar itself will still shake.

Shake the bar around with your hands and see if it moves. If it does try to find a way to stabilize it. More bolts and nuts or welding a support to it would help then you can do more of this

i checked the bar is pretty solid i am sure it is probably a combination of the lights themselves and the tabs

that wouldn't help. It's not a loose mount.

well if its not a loose mount and the bar is not loose the only other thing i could think of would be that the lens is loose in the housing. Might want to check that out.

what kind of lights do you have exactly? i know that companies such as Hella, PIAA and KC come with shock absorbing mounts to prevent vibration.

it's not anything loose. I believe it is a combination of the tabs flexing (like a diving board?) and maybe just low quality lights.

ditch the bull bar. Get yourself an ARB or TJM. Otherwise, You will have to deal with it!
