Hello everyone,
Currently have sways up front but still stock in the rear.
I want to lift the rear 1.5" and cant decide whether to go shackle or add-a-leaf. It will be paired with bilstein 5100s.
just have a few questions.

Which ones are easier to install?

Which one would give me more flex?

I dont do any heavy duty towing or loading.

Which one would you recommend and why?

I've done a search but couldnt find a definite answer.
any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

Put the aal in.

Shackle will preserve your stock spring rate and the springs will flex as good as they do now:

Add a leaf, if long and thin, will still flex pretty good, a short-thick-stiff AAL will not flex well.

If you are happy with the current ride load capacity, get the shackle, if you want a bit firmer ride and more load capacity get the AAL.

thanks for the link.
I do like the current ride and still maintain the load capacity. I dont want it any stiffer/firmer than it is now.
Most likely i'll end up with a downey shackle since they are only 10min away from my work.
Anyone know if i need to relocate the exhaust tip with a 1.5" shackle?

Measure and see. 1.5" lift shackle is likely 3" longer than stock, measure down 3" from the end of your shackle now and see if it'll hit.

Go with the shackle. I have the AAL right now and am going to be replacing it this weekend. The shackle gives more flex and the ride is better. I have the Soft Ride AAL and it still sucks.
