San Diego brake shops
Hey guys and gals,
Been a while since my last post, but I'm still enjoying my 4 Runner. I've been dealing with the ol' pulsating brake thing forever but since I only drive it back and forth to work, they rarely get hot enough for it to show up in any severity.
Well, yesterday I did some stop and go around town driving and it's pretty bad. I know I need to replace the rotors and probably the drums, but I don't want to do this myself.
Does anyone know of a shop in San Diego who has done a good job. (Don't say Trux). As much as I like John and the guys, they didn't get it right the first time they did it.
Also, if anyone bought aftermarket rotors and had a shop that installed them for you, let me know.
Thanks,
Mike

dont know about a specific brake shop but I have taken my 4runner here, http://www.sdtrux.com/ they did a good job on the work i had done and had good prices as well. It also makes me feel better that they specifically work on Toyota trucks so they tend to know the ins and outs, although I dont know if brakes can even be complicated. but id say at least give them a call and see what they charge.
edit: i just read your thing about "trux." was it the one in miramar? Cause there is also Protrux in San Marcos?

yup
Sorry, I should have said SDTrux (they moved from Miramar, but are right around the corner). I have had all the work on my truck done by them and have been happy with all of it but the brakes. But then again, no one has been able to get them right.
Thanks. Anyone else?
