S-10 bumper retrofit???

my friend made a bumper in his shop class for his 92 s-10 hes selling the truck and said he would sell it to me for like $150, its not the greatest in the world but better then stock. so i was wondering how i would make the brackets and how to mount them also how much i would have to modify the bumper? i am an avid welder so thats not an issue.

Without seeing the brackets for the bumper and the front of your frame we can not offer good advice on how to retrofit the bumper onto your truck.
If you're an "avid welder" like you claim you are, you should be able to simply look at the mounts on both pieces and figure it out for yourself.

If you are indeed a welder a quick glance should tell you all you need to know grab your tape measure which you should always have close at hand.

Take some measurements your good to go.

Being you are still young in the ways of the world this might seem impossible.

Pictures of the bumper would be a big help.

In essence what you need to do is adapt the Toyota Brackets to the foreign bumper. perhaps a simple plate with the proper holes drilled is all it will take.

Maybe the bumper is to ugly to put on a Toyota!!!

I'd buy $150 worth of steel and build your own. 1. Customized to your 4runner and not somebody's S10 and 2. YOU built it - bragging rights!
