RZN185 chassis with 3RZFE engine

Hi - and greetings from England !

I have been offered a Right hand drive ( the correct side for a steering wheel ;-) ) RZN185 chassis with a 3RZFE engine and auto transmittion BUT the chassis does not have an ECU or instrument cluster. The chassis is otherwse pretty complete with wiring loom / tank / wheels / tyres alternator etc etc.

I have a couple of options to get this usable for my project

1) I can convert the engine to have a normal distributor and change it to a carb. Is it easy to find a distributor for the 3RZFE ? In the UK i cant find any parts for this engine. What other vehicle used this engine ? just the 4 runner in the UK i think ? ( we dont have the Tacoma etc )

2) The other option is to try and find an ECU and other bits ? What "bits" do i need to get it all to work ? Is there an ECU for the injectors and an ECU for the spark ? Does anyone know the part numbers ? does anyone have a wiring diagram / schematic? does anyone know where i can get these for a good price ? ( i am going to have to buy in the US and post to the UK )

My next problem is the gearbox ! There are some connections on the gearbox but no wiring loom connections. Where do these go ? is there a schematic out there ? is there an ECU for the gearbox. Could i just use the gearbox and shift gear like a stick shift ?

If anyone is interested i am planning on putting the chassis under by 1959 Bedford Ca camper van - should make the old girl move !

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Regards

Simon
