Hope this is the right section, A friend of mine has a set of rims that are on a 95 4runner. They are still a 6 lug pattern, but I am not sure if they will fit my truck. I am wondering if anyone knows if the bolt pattern on a 95 4runner is the same as the bolt pattern on a 81 toyota 4X4. The rims are 6 lug but just want to be sure before one of us makes the trip across state. THanks a lot-Sampson

I think you should be able to call discount tire or someplace similar and aks for the bolt pattern of both trucks

Okay, just to save you from searching... hint....
No they won't fit. The bolt pattern is the same, but...
The offset will get ya. The 86 and newer Yotas have an offset that will cause the rim to hit important things on the 85 or older rigs. You can't even get them on far enough to get the lug nuts on.

You sure on that flamedx4? I forgot to mention that my truck is lifted about 5 inches and I'll be running them with 33's. Are you sure these rims won't fit on there? Thanks a lot for the posts

Does the guy have factory wheels, or are they aftermarket?

lol just asked him that in my last email to him. I"ll let you know when he replies. They are 15X10's if that helps at all, but i'll let you know when I find out.

Well, if they are 15x10's, I can guarantee you they are not factory wheels. Chances are, they will have a really wide offset, or low backspace, however you want to say it. My guess is that Flamed was talking about factory wheels, and that they would hit things on the inside..... wheras with these 15x10 wheels, they will be real wide, but mostly on the outside of the hub.

If the lug pattern is the same, I would say they're going to fit, but don't forget..... a 33x12.50 on a 15x10 wheel will be a really wide/fat setup.

Yes they will fit i have a friend who had an 83 toyota with 3"bl and runniing 15x10 with 33x12.5x15 super swampers on his never his anything.

Not necessarily. Don't forget about backspacing.
Just because a guy bought 15x10s for his truck doesn't mean this other guy has the same backspacing rims for his. Don't assume.

If he is running 15x10 on a 95 with the offset for the 85 and older - they would stick WAY out.

Any rims for IFS rigs with the 'correct backspacing' will not fit 85 and older - it isn't the fenders they hit, it's the steering components. You CAN put 85 and older backspacing rims on a newer Yota, they just stick out more.

85 and before = 3 1/2" backspacing, no more or it hits the steering arms. Less is fine, they just stick out more (and my cause the tires to rub.)
86 and newer = 4 1/2" backspacing, and even more in some years.
