Replacement headlights and buckets for 1999 4runner?
Hi y'all,
My wife recently banged up the driver's side bumper of her 4runner and took out the plastic headlight bucket, destroyed the bumper, damaged the fender, and bent the radiator support a little. I just spent the afternoon banging on the radiator support and surrounding sheet metal with my BFH, and I think I've got it about where it needs to be to replace the headlight now.
I was planning to replace the headlight assemblies anyway, since they were flaking off the reflective material inside. I was looking at on amazon, but I was wondering if I should just spring a little more for something better? I don't want to go crazy with rewiring stuff and modifying everything, just get a decent headlight and plastic bucket assembly to help her see well on the road. I just figured that since I've already got the headlights off, now's the time to get suggestions. This is a daily driver and she drives a lot in a deer-infested rural area after dark to go to work.
I'm trying to keep this on the cheap side, because I'm going to have to put a new bumper and fender on as well. Can y'all give me some quick suggestions?

Those are pretty decent replacements. I have their "clear corners" and it gives an updated look, IMO. You can later upgrade the bulb to silver stars or another bright white bulb. You'll see how easy it is to replace the bulb when you change your buckets.
For $69 for both shipped, these look great and they are glass, like OEM:

Thanks for the ebay suggestion. I think those will work ok. I ordered a set for both my 4runners, since they're both flaking and getting condensation inside the headlights.

I just thought I'd come back and mention that I bought the ebay headlights for both my runners and I have been happy with them since February (~10 months at this point). They were a good deal. I had a few problems with the ones they shipped (two of four were broken) but the seller immediately shipped replacements and I got it taken care of at no additional cost.
