Replace OE Front End Links or Upgrade Complete Sway Bar Assembly on 3rd Gen.

Well, today I was trying to correct a rattling sound, on my 97 4Runner, that I had narrowed to the front sway-bar end links. I replaced the rubber bushings with polyurethane bushings when I installed my spacer lift.
When I was tightening the drivers side end link, I twisted the rod in half. After looking at it when I had the complete end link removed, you could see there was quite a bit of deterioration where the rubber bushings had been. Rust and friction had wore it down.

Anyway, my question, after looking over some threads about the ADDCO sway bar kit, do I replace the end links with OEM from the dealer or do I get the ADDCO front and rear sway bar kits.

I do very little extreme off-roading, just a little during hunting season. I don't think articulation will be much of a factor. I will be installing the SS system 1 when it arrives.

i just put on the addco front sway-bar, huge difference, I love it, it also comes with new, same diameter and length endlinks with a bracket and all hardware to bolt right on. When you do the lift however, they will still be too short, and should be lengthened. So if I were you I would not get new links from dealer, waste of money. The links in the addco kit would be fine for now, and since they are just bolts, you could get longer ones later to upgrade after the lift

(I didnt use my addco links up front, allready have 1/2" diameter, 3" longer ones that I made extra beefy, I'll probably use the addco ones in rear eventually though)

I would not install Addco Sway bars or any end link other than stock links with our lift kits.

Install the kit first and then see what you think.
