Removing front seat for car seat

I have a 2002 Tacoma, and as you all with kids know, it's been very difficult to find any sort of car seat that will fit without rendering the front seat useless.. I am wondering if it would be wise or not to remove the front seat to create more room for the carseat on the bench in the back. That way the car seat would have plenty of room, and we would be able to have extra storage space in the front.

Any pros or cons to this idea?

Thanks!

Diono Radian RXT. We have THREE of them in the back of a old small Corolla! Expensive, and heavy, but damn fine seats. http://us.diono.com/en/car-seats/radian-rxt

Also instaed of the expensive "angle adjuster", we used 3 water noodles duct taped together...

I assume you're talking about an extracab. A double cab shouldn't be an issue. I actually had an 05 extracab when my daughter was born and a rear-facing seat even rendered the front seat in that truck useless. So whenever we went anywhere as a family we took the wife's 4Runner. After 2 years of that I sold it and bought an 05 double cab. If it's your only vehicle you'll probably have to get something else if 3 people need to ride in it frequently. Double cab....

That said my daughter is now 6 and fits in my 96 extended cab fine. For short trips. Next truck will be a double cab for sure.
