Recent 03 TSB's
Just went on the NHTSA (however you spell it) website. I notice three TSB's that jumped out at me.
1. Windshield molding deformation. I believe I had this. It affect the molding from the top of the window to the roof rack. The molding will raise off the body and bend. They use a 2 ton epoxy to glue it back down.
2. Body mount noise? Anyone had this?
3. Squeak from the lower front area when going over sharp bumps? Someone here said that this is due to a bad bushing and they had it replaced on this TSB? I noticed this symptom this weekend on my truck. I was driving around with the windows down and radio off on a rough road. Occasionally I heard the squeaking. Very faint but it was there.

The squeek was in the front drivers side body mount. The stealer replaced the whole body mount. Just in case you are wondering, my lift had nothing to do with the squeek.

Well it actually came from the wheel well of the front drivers side area which is where the body mount is located. The reason I mentioned the lift is because the dealer asked me about it.

I can't really help any of ya guys on any of these issues as my truck squeaks regardless. But that's me with all my mods so that's expected. Plus after each run the dirt gets embedded into the small places that it sqeaks... doh!
As for the squeaking in the front suspension, it's usually a bushing that's dry. Add some lube and that should clear it up. Places to look for are the upper arms, bottom shock bushing, swaybar bushings. More like anywhere w/ bushings eh
Aside from that I couldn't help ya on where it would be.

Okay, dumb question. What is a safe lube to use that won't break down the rubber body mounts and bushings??? I've read a few things on 4runner.org about 4th gens and using windex on the dash and it ate right through the dash! Very scary! I had used Windex for years until a few months ago when I started using Windex Interior/Exterior auto cleaner. It has no ammonia and is safe for plastic. I look foward to your responses.
