rebuild 5000

Engine Knocking ran without oil for some time.

Is 5 grand a good deal for rebuild new internals water pump ect.

no get on ebay and buy a master rebuild kit, i think they are only 5 or 6 hundred at most fot the complete kit. then take the kit to a mechanic and just pay labor. that should save you a large part of the cost

damn 5k! for a rebuild? are they rebuilding it using gold internals?

a brand new engine from a dealership only averages 7-10k!!! and thats with labor too, dealerships always charge way too much on labor....

i would just get the master rebuild kits, and have the block and all magnafluxed/machined/honed and you would still end out on top.... 5k! for a rebuild is jsut insane!

Swap something in unless you have no idea what your doing.

3.4 or a 350 will cost you the same and are way better.
