rear springs question 2nd gen
More and more I'm beginning to convince myself to level out the runner. Right now I've been looking at my options and it seems it's between performance parts, downey HD and i hear there's downey standard ride too.
I don't want the ride to become too rough on my daily drive. I move every four months or so sometimes more, carry DJing equipment 3-4 times a month, and rarely off road. Right now I'm leaning to the Downey standard ride(if they exist) making the assumption that I won't feel too much of a change from now.
What do you guys think?

Shocks stay the same. Downey includes a longer stainless steel brake line but if you don't wheel a lot you can just stay stock. I think the stainless steel line did help with brake feel so it is a worthwhile upgrade.

So everyone seems to be happy. Looks like I'm gonna go with the Downey HDs cause they cost less and i can save up for the shocks.... maybe i should wait til i can afford both and install them both at the same time.

Do it in stages if that is what you can afford. The springs themselves make a big improvement in ride quality and leveling the truck will do wonders for its appearance.

Depending on what shocks you went with, you "could" can ill effects. When I bought my HD's, I bought some shocks that weren't stiff enough, and the ride sucked. Then I bought the Edelbrocks, and my god if was a completely different truck. So if you find the ride sucks after you get them, you'll need a sticker shock for the stiffer springs. The brake line was very simple to install, so don't fear the extended brake line. I'm sure either srings will do you well. Good Luck
