Rear Locker Mod? Need Info Fast...!!!
Hey what's up fellas,
Hey I just did the rear locker mod (grounding the red/blue wire from the ecu) so that the locker can be engaged in 2wd, 4 high and low. But I want to make sure everything is now working correctly. Is there a test I can do to see if it's working? I drove the truck after grounding the wire. I engaged the button while at a stop (tried in 2wd and 4wd high and low) and the "rear locker light" on the dash just kept flashing. Does that mean (since it did not go on and stop blinking) that I did something wrong and it won't engage now (or is it always engaged now and won't un-engage)? I need advice and help here pretty fast fellas. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys... -Keven

As long as you followed the instructions here: http://www.hboss.net/4runner/locker_safety.htm it should work. Are you sure you grounded the wire towards the ECU and not the end of the wire disappearing into the wiring harness? If you did everything correctly, try driving slowly in an S shape in order to allow the locker parts to line up and lock.

If you're stationary and try to engage the locker, it may flash constantly if the splines aren't lines up. As stated above, you need to move in a gentle curve to line everything up and then it should fully engage and the light go on continuously.
