Rear links installed (and what not to do...)

Well I put in my prototype rear disconnects today.. Seeing as how I am going to take it out in the woods tomorow, I thought it would be a good time to do it..

I have some flex photos to share and a what not to do with a Hi-Lift to share as well..

This is what happens if you have the truck on a jack stand on one side and you try to jack the other side off your sliders.. Yep, got a nice ding in the door from the jack on that one.. (damn lucky it is just a ding.. and that it missed my sawsall!!) :pat:

Your becoming a real master with those disconnects. Are you going to market them if they work out ok? They look great!

You mean like this?? Yes I am.. I think a good portion of the testing will be done this weekend.. I think the price tag is going to be ok at $50 for a set unless I can find rod ends cheaper.. I am not looking to get rich on them.. They are really easy to make and once the measurements are done and the jigs are made to do the drilling, they don't take long to make.. But a couple of the parts are pricey.. Those lock collars alone make up close to $10 by themselves.. I was thinking about threading the end of a long bolt cut down, but these 3/8" bolts are thick at the shaft, and may be a bugger to tap..

OH, BTW.. one concern of mine was how strong the rod ends were.. I found out the other day they are rated for 5100lbs!! Dang!! I guess they can hold up to the sway bars!!

This is the stock run I am going to take them out on tomorow..

Delboy, I do have about half a dozen people right now.. If you want a set (or anyone else..) Please drop me an e-mail.. I have a e-mail list going to give updates as I test these out and will let you all know when they are ready.. Once I have them ready, I hope to be able to sell front & rear at the same time... (cheaper shipping that way..)

So if you do want a set, just e-mail me and I can add you to the list..

firefyter_emt@charter.net

And, Thanks!!

Lee, I just took a quick gander at your source code, and the pic is being told to come up via your hard drive.

file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/lee/My%20Documents/Webs/sway-01.jpg

It still sounds like Front Page if that is what you used is doing this.
The pics need to be in the same working folder as the html file when you save the page on your hard drive.

Then FTP the html file and pics from the same folder and they should all show up.

Yep, you are right Corey.. Frontpage must of had a fluke last night.. I looked at the page from my dads house and sure enough.. little red x's.. I saw the same thing when I checked the propertires (Hey, no giving out that secret either... )

Ok, anyway... now take a peek and see if it is back to a real web page..

Hi Lee, still 7 red x's.

Two or three of your pics come up, but the rest are offline.

Hey, kind of like my site
My site has been down all day, and the morons who host me will give me no ETA when it will be back up.

I have 25 pics and 3 vids from todays outing I wanna upload, and can't until it comes back up.

Arugh.. it is not like I am a ˟˟˟˟in newbie with Frontpage.. Heck, I have about 4 dozen pages +/-

Allright, now I am getting mad!!

EDIT.. What the heck is going awn.. I had to make an error in the url location of the photos, save it, and then go back and remove the local floder from the image.. I would change it, and save it and it would go right back to where it was..

Sorry to be a PITA.. But "can you see me now??"

~~To error is human, but it takes bill gates to really screw something up!!~~
