Rear Diff Mod Done Today
Well I can prolly say that phase one of my mods for my 4Runner is done..
heres what Ive done
Phase 1
- New Wheels Michelins x radial LT 10/03
- Hood w/ Scoop 11/03
- Mag Lite Mod 2/04
- Rear Diff Mod 3/04
- Removed Step boards 3/04
I tried to go 1/2 and 1/2 on my mods for performance increase and asthectics I think I was pretty even..
Heres what Im thinking for Phase 2
- WAAG Grill Gaurd- purchased/getting it at Anza Borrego Jam
- New Antenna... Taco whip or a euro stubby thing for 20 bucks. I usually dont listen to the radio, but I hate having the antenna 1/2 way sticking up!!
- 39" X 59" RACK MATE Conferr Roof Rack
- 2" Suspension Mod _Cornfed spacers? maybe?
Im gonna ask a question on lifts on another post
- Sliders No idea what kind yet.. Seems like, a lot of ppl making these have gone outta business.
Phase 3
Still up in the air.
heres some pics

Its pretty hard to mess it up. You would have to cut a reallly big hole, and even if you did you could try a 5" deckplate. A 4" hole saw makes it fool proof. The PITA part is cleaning up the hole and getting all the shavings out.
You can do it! (all night long)

rondo,
The deckplate mod is pretty benign. a hole saw is best but you can use a cutout tool like a rotozip or a dremel w/ a cutout bit. however, you'll have to hold that cutout tool really hard b/c when it hits the waffle/ribs inside, the tool will skip and jump out of your hand.
