REAR BUMPER AND SLIDER BUILD, LIFT QUESTION...Boston
Hello,
Looks like I will go it alone...I will soon start on the following projects would love to work with some others in the area that need to do a bumper for my 1997 4 runner 5 speed 3.4 liter
I will be making a rear bumper, similar to bighead's
I will also make custom sliders and do a 3 inch lift
I do have a question, what do you guys recommend....before I was considering doing a body lift as well but I drive the truck so much for very long distances that I think a 3 inch suspension lift will be the way to go....will the truck go alot of places offroading with lockers 285s and a 3 inch suspension lift or will I forever be kicking myself for not doing the body lift as well...
I am so torn on lifts, I dont know what to do
all thoughts welcome
thanks, tim

Dude...
Search "Tundra TRD" and you'll see all the info you'll ever need.
Tundra TRD Springs up front and some OME or Downey Springs in the rear for 2" suspension lift and then do a 1" Roger Brown Body Lift.

You could do both types of lift, say a 2" susp. and 1" body lift. The lower susp. lift will stress your CVs less and the body lift will make the bumper and sliders a bit easier to mount and install (more frame to work with):
