What year? What kind of bumper? Stock or aftermarket? Truck or 4runner? How much do you want to spend? Google? Answering those questions would help a lot!

Do not go with the replacements from the dealer. I have gone through two on my 01 Taco after getting bumped from behind at a light. Both form rust quickly around the license plate. The third one is sitting at the body shop now and I am going to blast it and LINE-X it to save some frustration.
Suggestion: Hunt the junkyards.

Hey guys, I'm in the same boat with my '99 4Runner SR5... I was going to take mine off and have it cleaned up and sprayed with a Line-X type spray. Then order a new plastic top piece for it... But what about aftermarket rear bumpers? I sent an email to www.armorology.com today and I got a reply saying they are only custom (meaning they would need my truck to build the bumper). Well, that would be nice, but I'm not driving all the way from Alaska to get a bumper! LOL
So who else out there makes aftermarket rear bumpers? As for shipping, I can have it shipped to Seattle and then put on a barge to get it up here. That would be cheapest for me. I was going to call a upscale auto body place tomorrow and ask them if there is someone local who can get something nice.

Know any local fabricators? That is your best bet. It seems that our trucks have a lot of play in how the bodies sit on them and to get one done right with proper gaps you have to get one made up custom. Plus, you being so far out this would save you a TON on shipping.
