Rear Axle Swap To Factory Locker

I'm getting an axle from a '99 Limited w/ELocker and having it put on a '98. Does anyone know if this has been done? Is there a good thread somewhere about it? Any Ideas? As I may have to help the shop doing it as they aren't a 4x4 shop, but are mechanics...

Thanks Bros

you gotta make sure u have 4.30s up front too.

I would take it to a 4x4 shop, the might know a little more.

You'll want to replace the front diff as well, because 9 times out of 10 the elocked rear 3rd has 4.30's while the fronts of unlocked trucks can be as tall as 3.91's.

ah... hadn't even thought of that... DOH. I will have to let them know at the shop. Should be no problem as there is '99 parts truck with full drivetrain...

Thanks
