Rear Axle Assembly Questions
Well I think i may name my 4Runner "Murphy's Law" since every typical 4Runner problem has happened to it. First Strawberry death, now rusted through Rear Axle housing.
Instead of just replacing the housing, i've decided to go the e-locker route.
I need a clarification on terms though. I've been looking into getting a new axle and e-locker 3rd Differential. I'm finding used "E-Locker Rear Axle Assembly" on online used parts stores. Does "Rear Axle Assembly" mean axle and differential? or does it mean axle without differential?
I'm just trying to figure out how much it's going to all cost me, and i'm putting together the list of parts that will be needed, along with the wiring and all.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks
Nick

I would think "assembly" would mean complete housing with diff but it may be best to give them a call just to verify. I'd also suggest remembering the name of whoever you talk with. good luck !
