i use toyota red. i just got it for 14.95/gal from the dealer. there's a HUGE debate about what you can and can't use in a 3.4, just search on the board. there are numerous threads concerning it, all the way down to the molecule! but i've settled on the red because it seems what's best to me. some say the pink, not many recommend the green...

just put in some prestone green antifreeze (at 50% water and 50% antifreeze)
or they sell the premixed as well.

the smaller molecule the greater chance it will find the small pinhole leaks in a hose and cause it to burst (from experience). i run the green in all of my vehicles and there is a reason why it is around and will always be around.

i wasn't saying the red had smaller molecules...

i'm not going to get this debate started again...and again, and again... all i said, was i got the red because it was a toyota product that was on sale. and the red looks good too. and i'll know if the runner starts to bleed.

Buy more of the same type that is in there. Important point here is to not mix different types. Or if you will flush all of the old stuff out, just get any generic stuff from PepBoys or Autozone.

p.s. generally this stuff is called "engine coolant"

local dealer sells it at 16.95/gallon. i usually just look for a coupon online at a nearby dealership (toyota of seattle in this case), and they'll honor it.

it's under the "parts specials".

maybe you're getting the "extra long life" type? or the pink? or one and the same?...
