ok so i replaced my radiator yesterday and replaced all the fluid in it and i drove on the highway for like ten min and i parked it and went inside and when i came out a lot of radiator fluid (antifreeze and water) leaked everywhere on the ground and under my body on the side that the overflow container is and also the side that the lower hose is that leades to the engine. and again this morning it did the same. i cant figure it out where it is leaking from and i am pretty sure i did the instal correctly... any suggestions would be great. it is a 3.4 by the way.

edit... and when running it leaks out a lot more... if that helps.

maybe an air bumble causeing it too back up

or bad thermostat. what does the temp gauge do? is it showing it overheating?

you always reply to my things!!! lol thank you. it is reading normal... how would i tell it would be a air bubble and how would i fix it...

really thats cool. im not really 100% sure on how to ive just heard about it. maybe try searching air bubbles. but since its reading normal it may be a bad hose connection somewere. you could maybe start the motor and wait for the leak to start then look around and see if you can spot the exact area of the leak

wish i could be more help but thats all i can think of that or head gasket but if that were the case you would definelty notice something isnt right about how your truck runs

one last question

where would it leak from if it was the head gasket...

could be all around the head gasket mainly the back or the sides the exhaust manifolds are on. look around the heads and look for leaks of coolant there that could be it but im doubting that. not to mention the truck would run very porly but it never hurts to look

btw i just read about your radiator gash did you ever replace your radiator?cause if not that could be it

If it was the HG, your coolant hoses will be rock hard after driving on the highway.
Later the coolant may boil up out of the overflow tank.

ya i changed my radiator and i think i fixed my problem lol. i took it in to my fixer uper guy up here in fort collins and he checked it out and its no head gasket the company i got my new radiator from didn't send me a cap so i put my old one on it so it didn't seal right and was sneeking into the over flow tank and over flowing lol so its all worked out. thanks for the help i'm glad it ended up being something so stupid actually. haha

Sometimes you have to "burp" the radiator to get rid of the air bubbles.

burping--- fill radiator up, with cap OFF, turn the truck on, heat on full blast and sit and wait till it gets to running temp then shut it off and cap it. then fill the overflow tank accordingly..
