Question about inner axle seal install.

Question about inner axle seal install.
I just installed both rear inner axle seals and I want to make sure they are seated right. The seals are seated all the way back but the metal lips seem to be slightly bent inward. Will this be a problem?

Hopefully It was installed correctly because I bought all new parts for the rear end. How soon will I be able to tell if the seal wasn't seated correctly? Maybe I am just being paranoid.

Put a light film of grease on the rubber seal. Clean the axle collar on which the seal seats. Make it super clean.
Then re-insert the axle all the way, rotate the axle a few times, then remove it. There should be a grease line on the collar. If it's perfectly centered on the collar, then it is seated correctly. If not, pull.l the seal and install the extra one you bought in case the first one got boogered up..........just an old mechanic's tip from someone who has been there.
