question for 2nd gen 4runner owners
actually this is kind of towards 1st and 2nd gen owners. does anyone here have a 2nd gen 4runner with a 4cylinder engine? if so what kind of mileage do you get and is the power sufficient for offroad and daily driving? how is it compared to a 1st gen 4runner with the same engine.

Milage? 18-24 mpg pavement. Power for ofroading? Use 4wl a bit more. It ohnestly doesn't have much less power than the 3.0 (3.slow) engine. I do have to shift down for the hills a lot more but for the 3 or so mpg impovement, I say it's worth it. Plus the 22re is much more relyable.
