Pressure Plate

Whats a pressure plate do is it like a flywheel for an automatic trans. I am looking into beefing up my trany and I am going to get a 3000RPM TQ converter maybe a valve body upgrade and a presure plate.
Oh I have an auto.

A pressure plate is part of the clutch assembly on a manual transmission vehicle. It provides the clamping force.

You are on the right track with the torque convertor and VB upgrade for the Auto. However, these mods are not necessary unless you are pushing a lot more power through the stock drivetrain.
