Question pp 1 inch springs

I have a 2002 toyota 4runner and want bigger tires with a little different look from must of the other runners around here. If I get the pp 1inch springs.

Do I need upgraded shocks?
Do I need to do anything to the transfer case or are the springs the only thing I need to do?
Or lastly, is there something else I can do for a mild lift?

Also, when on the performance products website I don't see any info on the springs, but I see a lot of people on the forum have them on third generation runners.

Thanks for any info.

Are you talking about these? They have them listed for a 2001 but not for the 2002s. I don't think there is any difference between the coils needed between the '01s and '02s.

You also should look at Cornfed Suspensions for a spacer lift option.

You can replace coil springs only. Performance Products springs will give you about 1.5"-2" of lift. No additional modification needed, just a simple swap.

Replacing shocks is optional, and shocks don't give you any lift at all. On your '02 4Runner you have already pretty good shocks, so unless you're planning a lot of offroading, upgrading shocks isn't necessary.

I hope this helps,

I'm still using stock P265/70/R16. I'm thinking of upgrading to 275/70/R16 in the near future when my current tires wear out.

So, Performance never updated their catalog. I have a 2002 and have the 2001 coils. They fit no problem.

If you are thinking about upgrading shocks do it when you replace the coils so you only have to do the work one time. Bilsteins work great with the PP coils.

I got almost 2" lift in the front and a bit over 2" in the rear. The 265/75/16 tires will fit easy but I may opt for the 275/70/16 also.

Hey ALBPM nice to see you on the board! Be looking for some pics of Loosehead and my latest project...

Phat4rnr If you are worried about rubbing with a stock suspension and 265X75's don't. I ran them for about 20K and no rubbing even at full flex And I mean full flex!

its recommended, but not necessary. I have been running PP springs with my stock shocks for over a year and they are holding up fine.. Maybe one day I will upgrade
Do I need to do anything to the transfer case or are the springs the only thing I need to do?You can do as little as just the springs alone. If you want to go all out, get Bilsteins, addaco sway bar, and front diff drop spacers.
Or lastly, is there something else I can do for a mild lift? there are spacers that you can use. IMO the fronts seem sturdy, but the rear spacers just don't sit well with me, since they don't bolt in.
Here is a pic of mine:
